Why this works first

Most China trips fail in the small parts.

The scenery is rarely the only problem. The harder questions are hotel area, transfer tolerance, payment setup, stairs, language handoff, weather and whether the route still feels comfortable after the third moving day.

01

We read the constraints.

Month, group size, days, pace, hotel style, language needs and the places that already interest you.

02

We tell you what fits.

Yunnan may need slowness. Zhangjiajie may need senior-friendly pacing. Xinjiang may need stronger route control.

03

You decide the next step.

If the direction fits, we refine the itinerary and match local support. If not, we say so early.

Example route shape

Yunnan works best when Shaxi is not rushed.

This is a sample 7-day Dali, Shaxi and Lijiang route. The final route note changes with season, flight times, hotel level, group age and whether comfort or maximum coverage matters more.

Day 1
Arrive in Dali, settle by Erhai LakeAirport or station pickup, check-in and a light first evening so the trip starts calm.
Day 2
Erhai, Xizhou and a slower Dali dayVillage lanes, lake views, local food and enough time to avoid turning Dali into a checklist.
Day 3
Dali to Shaxi by private carUse the transfer as part of the route, with a real arrival window instead of a rushed detour.
Day 4
Stay in Shaxi after the day-trippers leaveSidu Street, Yujin Bridge and the old theatre feel different in the quiet hours.
Day 5
Shaxi to Baisha or LijiangMove toward Naxi villages and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain views without stacking too much in the afternoon.
Day 6
Baisha, snow mountain views and LijiangKeep the mountain, village and old town day comfortable, especially for families or senior travellers.
Day 7
Depart, or extend to Shangri-LaReturn by flight or train; extend only if altitude, transfer time and weather backup make sense.
